The Exceptional Children's Department at Richmond County Schools is committed to fostering the intellectual, physical, emotional, and vocational development of students with disabilities. Our mission is to provide an individualized education program in the least restrictive environment, ensuring that every student can reach their full potential.
We offer tailored instruction and programs that meet the specific needs of students with disabilities, following the guidelines of the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) and state mandates. Our focus is on delivering high-quality special education and related services, dedicated to supporting each student's unique learning journey and helping them achieve success in all areas of their development.
The mission of the Exceptional Children Division is to ensure that students with disabilities develop intellectually, physically, emotionally, and vocationally through the provision of an appropriate individualized program in the least restrictive environment
